Photographer's Note
Dragonflies in different colors are local insects that can be found around the pond and spotted at its edge.
The pond located at 32.031, 34.8205 on the map, in the Ariel Sharon park , the former garbage-dump mound, which is now evolved to a green environmental-park.
Will add 3 WS's, one shows a blue dragonfly swiftly passing through the reed (it never stop flying), and other's show mating in action.
Converted from RAW, main photo is F5.6, 1/1250, ISO100, cropped sides.

Bonjour, cher Ike,
Cette petite demoiselle s'est posée avec élégance sur des éléments de construction (échafaudage).
Une mise au point parfaite et la couleur est de toute beauté.
Amitiés.

Hello Ike,
An excellent close-up of this dragonfly. It has got such a remarkable colour and the backdrop helped to make it stand out very well. Also the sunshine was pleasant. Very well done.

Hello Ike,
This dragonfly has a beautiful red tone like a fine wine. The blurred green vegetation provides a perfect background. The composition is also very attractive thanks to the metal pipes and stone foundation and the diagonals they create. Both WS photos are interesting too, and I imagine you had to work hard to capture them.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ike,a brave attempt but the results are not exceptional with regard to photographic quality, but it was quite difficult to do better without the macro lens. The main photo has the DOF in the background, which actually has excellent details, while the red dragonfly is out of focus. Good ws with the couple in love, while the attempt to capture in flight is very reminiscent of what I do usually with in flight butterflies... hehehe ... have a nice weekend!Luciano.

Hi Ike,
The insect is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Red Dragonfly. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Ike,
Tu as su très bien capter ce Dragon Fly même si l'environnement n'est pas nécessairement beau pour bien le mettre en valeur. Très belle netteté et jolies couleurs.
Amicalement

Ike, that red/purple dragonfly symbolizes the dumping ground revival. The area was revitalized and turned into a green park. Nature takes back its rights. Excellent close up. Fine colors, good image quality, informative photo note, regards.

Hello Ike
Dragonflies and dragonflies are common in the area, but I have never seen such a beautiful bright red specimen before.
It is always a challenge to photograph one. You have succeeded perfectly with these photos.
Excellent presentation
Have a good weekend, groet Rob

Hello Ike,
I like dragonflies, but have never tried photographing one. I've also never seen a red one in person before. This dragonfly is beautiful, and you captured it very well. The color of the wings and head really stand out against the soft, green background.

Hi Ike,
lovely series of photos well illustrating the colorful world of dragonflies. It seems they are not racists. They don't discriminate because of the color. I wonder what color will come out from red and blue mating insects? Will it be purple?
Charming reportage,
M

Hello Ike,
I don't think I have ever seen a dragonfly this colour!
It is beautiful!
I like how you have used the features in your photograph, to create a lovely diagonal composition.
The w/s add a little romance too, as well as being sharply captured.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ike
very cool WS photos, they could easily be main posts on their own. but maybe you chose not to because they are mating haha
strange color, but I like it, like a purple or grape colour.
cheers

Hello, Ike!
I think I've never seen a dragonfly with such colors, and it's beautiful for the photo, it must stand out everywhere it lands! You captured that with perfect light and sharpness! Very nice job!

Hi Ike
Sensational how well you have been able to capture these dragonflies and the one that leaves me amazed is the red one, which I never saw or knew existed in that color, the two of the fantastic WS.
Good management of brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I love.
Have a great day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Ike
First time in my life I see a red dragonfly that tries to play low profile over a dark environment! It is a very interesting and rare piece of entomology that I will keep in mind. Thanks for showing. Shalom
