Photographer's Note
What is this? not a green lawn of grass covered hills.
The answer is clearly appers on the WS.
Pictures converted from RAW, F9.0, 1/250, ISO100, spot, cropped a bit from the top.

Hello Ike,
This must be one of the strangest and most original photos on TE. I could see this was not natural grass, not even a hill covered with plastic grass, but I couldn't figure out what. Enlarged versions confirmed your information with the WS, but I still can't understand why on earth these tens of thousands of bottles are spread in nature like this instead of being stored in a warehouse.
Of course that would have been a less interesting photo.

Gert

Pozdrav.
Lep pogled na interesantno zeleno brdo, dobro pokazano sa lepom nijansom zelene boje, kontrastom i perspektivom.
Neznam sta je ali je fotografija lepa.
Fotorafija u radionici sve objasnjava.
Zelim vam lepo popodne, sve najbolje.

Hello Ike,
It looks very nice, all this green glass. It creates a nice colour and the pattern is also appealing. The desert makes a good backdrop.

Hello Ike,
Almost not to believen, green oasis in the desert.
But I belief your picture with the green small mountain.
An excellent composition and nice presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John

Hi Ike,
The hughe pile of glass bottles is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the bottles for recycling. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a day.

Hello Ike,
If this photo was taken by the sea, I would have bet on algae growing on rocks. But you took it in Beer Sheva. So I had no idea.
The answer turns out to be an unpleasant surprise.
Is the intention of this to be an alternative work of art? Or has the recycling process been extremely delayed?
In any case, a very original picture.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ike,it needs to see the WS to understand,in fact isn't easy to understand immediatly watching the main pic. Incredible hill made by green bottles, but now they are abandoned? Curious post from Beer Sheva,it's nice to see something of different. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ike,
I like a photo with a 'quiz' and guess what is this?
Just like a kid.....I want to know, please tell me!
Before I read or look at the WS, I haven't got a clue about the green pile. Can't be grasses , in the desert?
How would I thought , there are green bottles !
This is an excellent photo of green bottles in 'disguise'.
To my understanding, these bottles are no longer to be recycled. I wonder all the piling up bottles, does it effect to the environment?
Thanks for sharing this piece of interesting note in the WS.
Loong
p/s: Thanks for your nice critique to my latest posting.
Yeah, the weather was beautiful but very chilly. We still have a lot of trees with no leaves.

Hello Ike,
I was completely baffled by your question but was more than pleased by your answer in the w/s. It's wonderful to see such determination to recycle materials rather than putting them in landfill or just discarding them. Glass in a material that is easily recycled - 10 out of 10!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Ike,
I never would have guessed without the workshop and a cue in the note. Initially I thought that maybe it's an old copper mine tailings hill, and I have been right in Egypt and Jordan, where I've seen the hills have a green tint, copper was once mined. But this is far more intense. The workshop gives the game away. Tfs!

Hi Ike
Even in the large view it is hard to work out what it is. An original photo of this strange sight.

Hello Ike
How stunning is this green heaping up; there is every reason to believe the Jewish people are ALL preferring beer from the same brewer, given the similar color displayed of crushed glass material allover the place! You show the ideal mound for Fakirs to practice the art of walking on fragmented glass!!

Hi Ike,
this is quite a shocking quiz. I would have never guessed what it is. The workshop was useful for us to better imagine what it is.
Incredible sight in a desert landscape.
Very well done,

Hi Ike.
Indeed the photo of the WS has given me the explanation to this image that I did not quite identify what it was, although I knew it was not grass, recycling is very important and we must contribute to everything that is looking for our planet.
Good brightness and sharpness.
Have a good week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
