Photographer's Note
When driving up north from Eilat, we wanted to stop in Timna Park. But the kids already fell asleep and it was raining. So I got to choose 1 spot along the road and 5 min to shoot some pictures. Well, the pictures will speak for them self, but it seems it the selected location was a good choice.

Yes it does (the title, I mean). It's got such a narrow palette of colors yet I like it very much. The low pov and the wide sweeping foreground of rock really makes those distinctive tree shapes pop.

The rocks do accentuate the landscape and the title. There is an ivisible leading line with this composition that is wonderful. Well done.

Hi Efi,
More than the rocks, the tree is more eye catching (or is it a giant shrub?). That gives an idea of the emptiness of life in the area. Gives emphasis to the barren landscape. A brave defiance to nature's harshness..?
Like this picture a lot.
great shot.

Hi Efi. A very crisp photo of the desert scenery, in which the rocky foreground and the barren trees clearly convey the setting. Combine this with the low light and heavy sky you got, and you have a simple but convincing landscape photo. Well done.

Hi Efi,
A view with interesting pastel colors, the low PoV increases the importance of the rising trees.
Have a nice week end,

Great shot, Efi!
I like the darker tones and the details of the sky is really tremendous.

Photo composed with 3 elements, It's always winner. And these heavy clouds really contrast with this arid place. I like It! However, I would have framed it a little bit more on the left. Well done.

Now it's more difficult to see, which works better, I like this one too......

As you 'compete' with yourself Efi, I think for me this version is the better, based on a little different (lower) shooting position, better placement of the details giving a more total balance to the compo. Anyway interesting shot of this desert.

This is my favourite of the shots from the one location, Efi. The clouds are threatening, providing much ambience. The rocks are clear and crisp, and the alignment of the interesting trees with the distant hills seems just right. A well composed, skilfully crafted capture. Best regards. John.

I wondered at first about your name but seeing the pictures from Eilat I know now
Where the name Efi comes from (the same place as Ishai)
I love this tree I all ways wanted to take a picture of it when going or coming from Eilat
The composition is wonderful just as the exiting perspective
The light and the colors look very real too
Well seen and captured
Ishai
