When the sun came out, there was a majestic glow of the barren hills over the water surface.
Here is a good example how the artificial lake became an oasis in the Negev desert.

General location of this POV on the Yeruham lake is at 30.988, 34.896 the map.

Converted from RAW, F8.0, 1/320, ISO100, spot.

Hello Ike,
Both photos give us an attractive view of the desert scenery by the artificial lake. It's mainly the light and the reflections that capture my attention. The water has fine tones of gold and silver and the lonely duck is a nice little detail.

Marvellous reflection of the barren, sandy bg hill in the still waters of the reservoir, with the silhouetted waterfowl providing a good focal point. Excellent sharpness and colour. Tfs!

Hello Ike,
The yellow tones of the empty desert slope look fine, but their reflections in the bluish water are even better. Very well captured with that lonely duck as a nice extra as well.

Hello Ike,

Both photographs show the arid details of the desert, contrasted by the warm, reflective surface of the man made lake. The little duck, making a solitary journey across water, makes a good focal point.

Hello Ike, a tricky one, which to post as main, I think that this one wins but only just!
The dead wood poking through the surface of the water, and the little water bird just add that little bit extra interest.
The reflected glow is lovely.

Hello Ike,
Both pictures show excellently the strong contrast between the barren desert hills and the foreground where water means life.
The dry branches and plants that rise above the surface of the water add depth to the photo. I also see a small water bird.

I think I slightly prefer the workshop photo where the yellow glow of reflection in the water is probably more pronounced. Although here you also have a charming silhouette of the bird traveling the surface of the water.

It is amazing to see such a lake in the middle of a desert. I guess the mountains are big enough to gather some rain. And looking at the map it is smaller than it looks. Such a contrast makes a beautiful result.
