It's hard to tell if this is a natural formation or partly excavated ancient Roman ruins of a terrace, especially back near the road. Well seen and photographed. Tfs!

Like others before me I am tempted to see carefully laid stones of an ancient building here and there on this natural wall. "Fascinating" is a word that often comes to my mind when seeing photos on TE, so I might as well use it again. It seems fit for this view.

Hello Ike,

This is amazing!
If you had told us it was ancient ruins, millennia old, we would have believed you, for it looks like worked stone, laid in semi-circular platforms!
This close-up is even more interesting than the whole crater in long shot!

The shapes of the stones here are beautiful and I also like the warm tones. The sunlight created a really nice play of light and shadows, which you captured skilfully.

Hello Ike,
On the thumbnail I had the impression you showed us the walls of an ancient site.
At the top we even find a kind of terrace structure.
We find limited plant growth at various levels.
Good clear and sharp presentation.
