Photographer's Note
Been some time since I visited TE...
Continuing My Masada tour, I take you to the northern part of the mountain, where the famous three-level palace was carved into the stone's face. Beyond, the western lip (left) breaks the Dead sea plains, all painted with orange. To the right you can see Masada's north face, blunted three times, each floor arranged in a semi-circular architectural orientation.
This is one of the most daring architecture Hordus ordered built. From top to bottom the palace stretches across 30 meters of height with impressive supporting walls and Hellenistics as well as Roman decorations. On the top floor the king and his family were accommodated while the lower floors were aimed for the VIPs that visited the palace.

Hi Chen,
It's nice to see you back on TE, with an updated intro and a new intro photo! ;o)
I relly love these endless arid landscapes and Israel is certainly a place that I will visite someday. The high POV and the use of the wide give huge depth to this composition. I just think that there's a bit too much dark area at the bottom and right of the compo. It's a bit disrtacting to the eye.
Have a nice day.

An impressive desert landscape, Chen, well composed with the area in shadow helping to provide depth to the view. Good detail for quite a distance out, despite the distant haze. Cheers . . . David

Very nice light Chen, I like the blue hint of the Dead sea in the distance, maybe a slight crop from the top and right side is the only suggestion I can make.
