Photographer's Note
Masada is a mountain with more history to it than most other mountains. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. The Dead Sea can be seen in the background if you look closely.
I arrived this southern part of the Dead Sea by a rental car that I had rented together with a Croatian traveller that I met in Egypt. Be aware there are no cheap places to stay for the night. Ein Gedi is the only settlement in the area, but it consists entirely of a resort. Me and the Croatian bought some beans and tortillas and eventually decided to park the car and sleep right in front of Masada. Under a beautiful night sky.
On the way, we had met some French siblings hitchhiking. They were also climbing Masada early in the morning to reach the sunrise, so I joined them on the way down. Here they are descending the majestic Masada.

Bonjour, Fredrik,
L'image est très belle sans conteste. Merci de nous faire profiter de vos pérégrinations, c'est toujours intéressant de profiter de vos réflexions et des sujets ayant trait au pays.
Bravo pour cette réussite.
Amitiés.

Hello Fredrik ,
I like a lot this view of the path in the mountain , and the opening to the fascinating desertic landscape . As we can , winter is sunny , but cold in this region.
