The lonley tree, a photo from Zefat, Northern

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken in Mt. Meiron after a snow storm (which are rear in Israel). The place is one of my favorites spotes in Israel and i try to go there in different time of the year, that day was, by far, one of the most beautiful days that held such a wonderful view and feeling in it.

Très belle image. Belle composition entre' ce ciel bleu, la neige et cet arbre isolé.

Nature sure is strange, how can a tree grow like that all alone with no other trees nearby? (could be planted of course) The picture is very nice, why is the snow so dark, is there a mountain top overshadowing it or something? I like the silhouettes.

You could use a generous crop /framing to increase this sensation of lonelyness. the left part of the photo, IMHO is excessive, as well a big portion of the ground. the foot steps are distracting a little, leading our eyes to that pond but withour continuation.

Nice composition with the silhouette of the two people walking away from the tree. It's a pity that the snow is ruffled in the foreground. The light within this image projects a feeling of peace.

A very good composition, the two walking people balancec the tree and the pool the sky. The best part is that the sand is not sand but snow, gives a weird feeling. The sky and the tree looks like summer, but....

Wonderful shot, Michal. You captured a very special and rare moment.

You took it from a very low position, which makes the scene very dramatic, and enlarge the tree.

The reflection and the sky are great, too.

It took me a while to see that the beach of not of sand but of snow (which is an excuse for such a dark snow I think). congratulation.

very nice picture !
I guess it was taken in the end of February 2003 after the big snowstorm in Meron.
During snowfalling the area is very beautiful !
