Hello David,
I just love these humane portraits with a story to tell, even though I don't know exactly what story it is. Maybe that's the strength of the shot for me, as it makes it universal. Good work, with excellent desaturated colours and absolutely spot-on sharpness!!

Hi David
Yes his pain is clear in this excellent study; DOF, framing and detail are all right on.
With small children and a job, it's little wonder you have any time for TE. Still it's good to hear things are going well; I'm assuming they're going well or you wouldn't have time to post :-)

Hi David,
Saw your comment on mine, long time no see, hope you're doing fine.
You present a very strong portrait with a face full with wrinlkles and that is exactly what i like to see in these picture from older people. The grey hair, the mustach and of course his hat look great. You did evry well here, a very strong composed portrait...well done.

David,
This absolutely very powerful image, taken with sensitivity and care. A very strong and emotional portriat depicting untold story and memories. The expression said it all. In part I would have like to sitting and have cup of tea and listen to life story, and perhaps he would not want to relive the sad memories that are clearly writen on his face. A very engaging pair of eyes lost in the distant gaze. Great works, my admiration. Good to meet you too and thanks for stopping by, hope to see more of your new post and I will go through some of the older one. Have a good day.

Hello David -
This is an excellent portrait! The man's expression, the grey hair, and the facial wrinkles all add to the image. Pain is evident but I am not sure it would be so noticeable without your comments but the image works anyway.
Well done! Thank you for sharing.

Hi David,
A sad feeling when one looks at this portrait and the muted kind of colouring goes with this mood. Details of the mans fatures are very well captured. Great!

Hi David,
Excellent title for this testimony to the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words."
The expression and eyes tell a long and sorrowful tale.
Regards, Tom
PS good to see you back old friend.

Hi David, sometimes words are not necessary. None are necessary here. This man's face is etched with sorrow and a torrid history of the area he lives in. I hope life improves for this man. Your portrait is excellent, wonderfully sharp with beautiful BG blur. Thanks for sharing, Lisa
