Photographer's Note
I was in Iraq for working at this time. We just asked to the old seller and he accepted our request for taking this picture. I hope he's still alive and Iraqi people can choose their correct way.
Probably this state was Salahaddin or Arbil.

Great old shot. Despite the poor quality I like it.
I tried to make it a bit better in PS but I clouldn't post it here. Did you allow to post workshops?
For how long have you been there?

I like this photo very much, as it is a documentation of life in Iraq more than 20 years ago ... It´s clear to see that your main motive was the onion seller but there are many details to see in the background.
I´m wondering whether there are still old onion sellers in Iraq´s streets ...
Also, I like the pastel colors (I know, that´s nothing you had influence on, but it´s good)

One hell of a shot, Ertugrul.
Tell me please, why can't I restrain my laughing just by looking at this photo?
It's so 'un-professional', so warm and cozy, so natural and 'normal' I can't help it but smile with all my sympathy towards it.
It's so very few of these on TE.
Why? Because we all are the greatest artists on Earth, are we?!

Did Iraqis choose their way of living?
Heck, they did ! Just turn your TV on and see their way of living.

All the best for you, buddy.

this photo looks more like it was taken in the 70's - probably quite reflective of where iraq were at the time! what a shame the phot isn't more crisp...

Hi Ertugrul,
a great, natural fascinating mood in this shot. Particularly thinking about the happiness hard to be found today there.

I think this photo is very dramatic cause we don´t know if these people are still alive right now, even if they are suffering now the consequence of this absurd war.

Hi Ertugrul
I like the old photo, despite the technical shortcomings, it really shows emotion and atmosphere, and teach us about the world (even a past one).
Real gem.
well done
