Photographer's Note

Another view of the Abianeh village. In fact this is a big open-air kitchen where a great amount of food is to be cooked. The lunch is prepared as a religious tradition and is given free of charge to the mourners of the Imam Hussain death. The motif behind preparing such a big lunch for free is quite interesting. In islamic tradition, people wish for something and for that wish to come true they make a private promise with god to do something good like serving other people. This is called "NAZR". Sometimes many people participate in Nazr, one prepares the vegetables, one brings the meat, one cooks the rice and so forth.

So at this day which marks the death of moslim's third imam, someone had a nazr to prepare a big lunch for villagers. may his/her wish come true very soon!
