It is not surprising that such a prominent mountain should figure in the national epic of Iran.Written around 1000AD, the great Iranian poet,Ferdowsi , relates in his epic (Shah'nameh) how the tyrant Zohak is overthrown by the young Feridun and imprisoned in chains to die in a cavern on the slops of Damavand.

Nice shot Mohd, I like the placement of all elements here particularly the volcano with striking light and the tower at the right. Nice used of slow shutter speed here to show-up the sense of movement of bird. Well composed.

The Fujihama of Iran ! Very beautiful light which blesses the mountain, and the pigeon is the special touch. Also the cloud is very peculiar.
Very nice composition.

Hi Mohammad,
good to see something from you after a long time :). This mountain really is a majesty, and you caught it in a beautiful light. The city antennas are disturbing a bit, but nevertheless it´s a fabulous sight.
So much to discover in this one.
Compliments, chris

Hi Mohammad
The lenticular and the sunlit volcano are pretty spectacular. The bird looks almost whipped up by the cloud as though it's a tornado.

Salam Mohammad
Nice to see you are back ;)
The light on Damavand peak is nicely captured giving a pleasant pinkish touch and contrast with the darker elements. plenty of details to look at, like the lenticular cloud, the bird....and the Milaad tower. It feels this image was taken in the morning, but not sure.

Hi Mohammad,
Nice to see you again here !
You have two good elements here the top of Iran is glowing in the light and you have a very nice cloud to complement the view, not sure I'm too fond of the bird though.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Mohammad, nice to see a new photo from you. Unusual but very beautiful setting of the illuminated Damavand as a backdrop to the big city. Good use of the taller structures at left and right to provide a sort of natural framing, and well timed to include the bird as the "icing" on the cake. Well captured.

Hi Mohammad,
Welcome back!
Amazing composition here: many elemets combined very well. The lighted volcano, the blurred bird showing movement, the cloud like a face looking to the volcano, the city skyline. Great.
the only problem are the antennas and the crane on top of the building. The crane could have been cloneed easily.

Hi Mohammad & welcome back
I'm sorry for the horrific bus crash in Iran recently. Good color contrasts, between the pink, snowcapped peak, & blue grey fg. I like the flattened perspective from the zoom too. Tfs!

Hello Mohammad!
I really like this picture for the beautiful peak in the background and the way you captured the sunlight reaching its summit! Also, very nice to see that cloud up in the sky, with a pretty interesting shape and sort of threatening looks! The Tower is an excellent highlight for the city's skyline!
Very interesting!
TFS - congratulations!

Hi
I can't believe it, it's a fantastic shot. The Mont Damavand is at rear of others but high lighted. Fortunately, there is no air pollution. I love Damavand in this picture. Thank you for sharing it.

Hello Mohammed,
I am vey impressed wit this one. First because it is a very eye catching picture not easy to get at this hour. The pink is just marvellous and the foreground with the gray-white mountains and moreover the city houses completes the scene very well. But I am also impressed because when flying back from Delhi to Istanbul I admired from the plane window ( Took some pictures ) I saw this same Damavand peak during 10 minutes, and I thought it might be the Albroz range. Now I am happy to find out that my guess was the good one.
Warm regards - Izzet Keribar

Hi Mohammad!
I like a lot the light of this shot, and the cloud floating in the sky with the blurred bird just behind it. The buildings of Teheran still in the night shadow make a perfect framing.
