Photographer's Note

The outer gate to the Imamzadeh-ye Hossein in Qazvin.

Built in the 16th century but heavily renovated and redecorated until the qajar era, this is the mausoleum of Hossein, a son of Ali ar Rida, the eighth imam in shia islam. It is built along an octogonal plan, symbolizing the four quarters of the world and the four gardens of paradise.

PS: rotate and crop.
