Photographer's Note

Zoroasters are believers of one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the World. There are only 50 thousands left in Iran, where from this religion originates. More about them I have written in my last post, you can also find the info in Wikipedia here.
I was very lucky to meet some members of this religion - in small village Cham near Yazd. Normally there's nobody living there, but for three days in a year there come people from all around Iran to celebrate Ghambar Paitishem holiday. And I was fortunate to come there at the same time and be invited to participate in it.
The main concept of this holiday is that they prepare lots of vegetarian dishes, some of them are sacrificed to the God (but the pictures of the bearded man you see show not the God, but Zoroaster, prophet and founder of the religion), and the rest is eaten.
