Zoroastrian Fireplace.
Here is a carved fireplace above the enterance of the Giv primary school in Tehran. Fire is cosidered holy by the Zoroastrians and a fireplace is always kept lighted in their temple. Similar fireplaces are seen on the ancient Sassanid coins, when Zoroastrianism was the dominant religion in Iran.
Giv School, is one of the oldest and famous modern school, established by Arbab Rostam Giv, the welknown Zoroastrian leader and the MP of the National council of Iran, before the revolution of 1979.
