Photographer's Note

Busts of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the former king of Iran and Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi the queen of Iran in the sitting room of the White Palace in the Sa'd Abad royal comlex, Tehran.
These statues are made by a Russian sculptor and presented to the Imperial court of Iran during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1919-1980). These are one of the rare reminiscences of the ere that are exhibited in the palaces. All other photos and paintings of the Royal family are not shown to public and only a small number of them are exhibited. Most of the Royal palaces were changed into museums after the revolution of 1979.
