Photographer's Note

This is a beautiful decoration on the facade of a building in Kerman. The ddecoration is made of dried bricks and is locally called goldasteh, the bunch of flowers. This type of decorations are very popular in the old desert striken architecture of Kerman in the vicinity of the central desert of Iran. They may not have any use or any application. But they make the building distinctive, marked and bold. The architect spend time and energy to shape the bricks, by hand, in a way to make this decoration possible. And these decorations are all different from one another. How nice it is. Isn't it?
