Colourful nothing special, a photo from Fars, East

Photographer's Note

Nothing special, just the skeins of wool yarns. Maybe for making Persian carpets or other rugs. But I liked the colours.

Persian bazaars are a treasure trove of goods and handicrafts but shopping is not the only thing here. A visit to the bazaar is an experience in itself as it is an opportunity to get a glimpse of the lives of the local populace.

Tea sellers in their colorful attire, juggle tea cups in one hand while they pour the aromatic beverage with the other. People stop by at bakeries to get a freshly baked loaf of bread while others stop for a glass of sherbet or mash melon milkshake.

Ice cream sellers are inundated with people of all age groups clamoring for a scoop of ice cream. The air is filled with the aroma of kebabs cooking on skewers, burgers and samosas (deep fried pastries stuffed with mince or meat) and chelo kebab.

Women indulge in some window shopping at the jeweler and others step in to make that big purchase. People looking to unwind head for the hammam for a relaxing bath, families haggle with roadside vendors to get the best deal and money changers clamor for the attention of tourists while others sit at a Persian café sipping on black tea sweetened with sugar cubes. In my youth, I used to knit various items. Now, I rather buy ready pieces.

Hello Malgo,
We see a glimpse of a carpet under the loads of yarn. Maybe they will eventually turn into one like that. But whatever these yarns will be used for they provided you with a colourful and attractive composition. You made a nice observation. A lot of beauty can be found in things or places that could be regarded as nothing special.

Maybe fot the people a great stock for make Persian carpets.
The picture has and a good composition.

Indeed quite beautiful mix of these colours. Low and close angle works well. There's just enough details to get some idea of the shop interior, traditional carpet and blue wall.

A great close-up photo of these stacks of wool. The colours are amazing and really well-saturated. The mix of green, yellow and red is great and the bluish walls make a fine backdrop as well.

I always say that in addition to good light, the colors make a beautiful photo.
Two very beautiful and interesting photographs remind me of a time when my mother was young and knit sweaters.
