Photographer's Note
I can not talk about situation of women be cause i dont know them. but all the time it has been topic of books, movies, paints, theaters and ....
But i can say that their situation in Iran, the country with a traditional culture is a little more different and complicated.
I hear that an Iranian author published a book, it`s name is ``the things that men know about women`` and this is a book with some blank papers.
I don`t know them but i think it is one of men`s tries.
i took this photo from a theater it`s name was ``Half opened doors``directed by ``Kamal Hashemi``

with the help of note I can say a nice shot with a story. Without the note just too much blank space. Nice work!

Salam Rahim
For sure the best picture I saw today in this website.
You broke almost every rule in photography...but when you look at the striking quality of the picture..I would say 'who cares about rules?'
Bravo!
With Regards

salam rahim. i am happy to see that this photo is not neglected, in fact it seems to gather some fans :) i love the abundance of black in photos and this is a good example. and the black is there with a reason, as we read in your note. the men do really little know about women, not only in iran, everywhere in this world. and your photo could well be a cover for that book with blank pages :)

Hi Rahim,
A creative and unique idea and composition to depict what your note describes. I really like only the one spot of light in all the darkness revealing just the essentials to evoke a feeling.

Bonjour Rahim,
c'est une magnifique photo, minimaliste mais tellement expressive! Tant de chose se dégagent de cette femme, de son visage, de sa posture... Surement une excellente actrice.
Amicalement,
Magaly

Hi,
Maybe a little too black and empty, but the message and the content is clear.
This time certainly does not apply: half opened is the same as half closed door, this must be opened as soon as possible!!

hello Rahim,
A great picture too.
I like the particular work with the light here.
The composition is original and extremely interesting.
Maybe the place of the woman, just in the corner,is a symbol ?
Anyway,the effect is really spectacular.
I like this picture very much, and your note too.
Friendly.

the tiny placement of this woman's profile and hand ~ almost a detail or afterthought in the bottom corner of the frame ~ seems to me to be a very accurate depiction of women in certain cultures. certainly women can relate to what you have done here in this photograph. your note, too, was interesting, if depressing. a clever, poignant and sophisticated commentary, beautifully done.
my congratulations on this one.
with kind regards,
kristin
