Photographer's Note

The robin has been a secular traditional symbol of Christmas cards and wrapping paper, probably for as long as Christmas cards have been sent in numbers. (in the UK anyway) They are also often used on Christmas tree and cake decorations. To really be a Christmas card there should also be snow, but we have none at the moment.
This shot was taken in the summer. During one of our walks, we stopped at a pub and sat outside for a sandwich lunch. This little fellow, as well as being quite tame was very cheeky. When he first appeared he flew in quickly and snatched a bite of my husband’s sandwich. He then kept returning for more but I couldn’t catch him in the act. This is one of my better attempts at taking his photo and is my Christmas card to all TE members.
There is another Christmas card in the WS

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all
