Photographer's Note

Another shot from my last visit to Edinburgh.

This is a classic view of Edinburgh and I couldn't resist grabbing a shot whilst on an historic tour of the royal mile area of Edinburgh.

This road, Victoria Row leads from the Royal Mile end of George IV Bridge, down to the Grassmarket area. It is full of great small shops and resturants.

The shot itself is not great as I didn't have time to do things properly, and it is taken on an Ixus 500. You can probably guess how I steadied the camera :-)

However with a bit of work in Photoshop I think it has come up good enough for me to post here. I brought up what little sky colour and contrast I had, darkenned the shadows and highlights that were a little harsh. Cropped slightly to make the most of the framing of the buildings on the left and the 3 figures in the foreground.

Thanks for looking
