Photographer's Note

It's been a while - I've been of busy doing the photography for the internationally renowned Shetland Folk Festival. However I've managed to process my backlog of over 500 shots and can now get outdoors again!

This shot was taken on a local beach. I was actually taking some shots of an oil rig that was out in the bay, temporarily taking shelter before being towed into the north sea. However I'm most pleased with this shot from the outing.

Not much to say except the vibrant green of the seaweed and the way the rocks and clouds lead the eye to horizon are what caught my eye.

Post proessing was mostly about using curves to increase contrast and a bit of saturation here and there. I actually reduced the saturation of the overal shot before adding some back to the seaweed and sky. The overall key is quite dark and moody.

Hope you like and thanks for looking!
I've taken note of the points here and will post a re-worked version tomorrow, thanks
