Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Sometimes, when you are walking past a place that you have seen often, you see it in a new light, or with a different emphasis.
I saw this viewpoint as a great study in lines. There were lines continuously guiding across the bridge and up the field.
I took the photograph in colour but liked the effect in b&w much better. In b&w, the branches of the saplings seemed to be highlighted, a nice addition to the straight lines.
I will post the original as a workshop.
Have a good day, Bev :-)

Hello Beverley
Well composed with the diagonal fence railing coming in from the bottom right corner. It adds both dynamism and linear perspective. Good sharpness and tonal range. Tfs!

Hello Bev,
To me this is more about lines than of saplings. This time I prefer the original version for the atmosphere of early spring created by the blue sky and green grass, and also for the contrasts of green and the brown of the wooden fence. But of course the lines are the same in both versions.
Best regards,
Gert

The same fence become use in Belgium for meadow with horses, this give more respect for the owner, he think this!

Sharp and nice in black and white.
Very well done, TFS.

Hi Beverley,
Lines of wooden panels fences go different directions, adding sense of depth to the image. I respect your choice of B&W , understood the wroitten reason, yet I love the colors composition (as always) in the outcome.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Beverley,
a coincidence! I had planned to share a picture featuring lots of lines today, but very different from your rural scene.
Once again I like both versions. The sunlight does show more on the trunks of the saplings in the b/w version.
Always good to have a strong leading line coming from the corner.
Good sharp shot.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Bev,
The lines made by the fence is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the fence and of the farm building in the background. It is clear and precise. Have a nice day.

Hi Bev,in fact, light and perspective often change the point of view and evaluation of places that we have been used to seeing for years and years. Really a beautiful composition well played on the geometries and on the parallelism of the lines, and the black and white version increases the visual effect. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Beverley,
A good shot of the many lines of the wooden fences zigzagging their way through the composition. It looks even stronger thanks to the B&W in combination with the bright sunshine. The composition is well balanced also.

Hi Bev
As with yesterday a good choice for B&W (The day before that would have been good in B&W too). A good study of fence lines going every which way.
cheers

Hello Bev, Again these fences. The lines seem to me too heavy in this composition, so I like much better the version in colour, with the green fields. Nice trees.
Have a nice safe day

Hello Beverley,
In itself, I prefer colour photos. But for less spectacular landscapes, a photo in black and white is more appealing.
I think that the composition here with the many straight and diagonal lines is better expressed in the black and white version.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Bev,
both are great but I still prefer the color version. The black and white does seem to have a n artistic touch, but you had such a lovely day over there.
Plenty of lines indeed, very well spotted!
