Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

There have been many photographs of Dunstanburgh Castle posted on TE, for it is such an iconic building to photograph, and changes its mood so visibly with the weather and the seasons.

However, I don't think it's position has ever been shown from the northern aspect.

In my photograph, taken from the lovely, sandy beach at Lower Newton, the castle can be seen peeping over the clifftop. You can see the dominant position that it occupies.

This couple were enjoying a brisk, early morning walk along the beach and made a very good focal point for me.

I will add a slightly different shot from the same beach as a workshop.

Have a good weekend, Bev :-)
