Photographer's Note

A couple of quick photographs I took in our home town of Lanark early on the morning of Boxing Day.

These pictures definitely fall into the category of "nothing special". We had no snow on Christmas Day but during the night there was a significant snowfall. So on Boxing Day morning I thought it would be a good idea to have a short walk around the town in an effort to burn off the excess calories of Christmas Day's gluttony.

In this picture, a street near home is deserted and my workshop photographs here and here show the centre of our little town with a light covering of snow and swathed in cold mist.

ISO 400, 1/250 sec at f/7.1, focal length 38mm.
