Photographer's Note

6.30 a.m. on a summer's morning at Lock 25 on the Oxford Canal as it passes through the beautiful village of Cropredy in Oxfordshire, the early morning sun lightens up the Lock Keeper's Cottage and there's not a soul in sight.

It is forbidden for the narrowboats to navigate through towns and locks before about 8 a.m. but in a couple of hours' time this place will be busy with boats passing up and down the canal as enthusiasts, boat owners and holidaymakers chug slowly and peacefully along the canal network, enjoying the lovely Oxfordshire countryside and perhaps later stopping somewhere for a relaxing lunch at a local pub.

This was another picture taken during a wonderful TE meeting here courtesy of Richard (Ricx).
