Photographer's Note

For the first time I visited Castle Howard in summer 2012, I shared here one photo from that visit (CLICK HERE to see it). Now looking back I am not very satisfied with that photo as the actual castle is very tiny there and one cannot appreciate its beauty there. Recently emka has posted a very original and full of atmosphere photo from Castle Howard together with some interior shots. I did not visit the interior before so I was motivated to go inside yesterday. Sadly it appeared that the interior is closed for entire winter I will have to wait several months to be able to go inside. But I repeated the walk in the gardens producing a usual postcard from this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Looking back at my old photos I found a quite a similar postcard and I decided to show the old one as a main photo while the new one as a workshop. The old one was taken much closer (so perspective is a bit worse) in brighter summer light with more attractive sky.
