Photographer's Note
Another shot from the sunniest day of the year. By 5pm the sun was shining on these north-facing houses overlooking the Broadhaven. Built in the early 1980s to designs by a local architect in the vernacular style of many older East Lothian houses.
The window on the extreme left appears on the right of my photo Scaffolding away at last.

Hello Winifred,
I was fortunate to have logged onto Trekearth when this image rolled in. This image really does make a great deal more sense when viewed together with the earlier post, from two years ago. By now, in late November, it must be bitterly cold.
Incidentally, how is that brilliant grandson of yours. Where is he now?
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Winifred,
Incredible how the sun was strong at that time. The angle of the sunlight combined with the remarkable sharpness of your picture let us see the textures perfectly - bravo!
An effectively strategic diagonal!
We also can see that the seagull is enjoying a meal ;-)
I read some notes from you and Marie Louise, about your pictures - indeed, you are in a privileged place for photographs! In reality, it is all about the photographer - it is you who find fantastic angles!
Thanks for sharing,
Du

Hello Winifred,
This is a very interesting architecture with the houses built like on a pre-existing wall, which I suppose is right by the sea. I like the colour and texture of the stones, and the happy-looking façade bathed in the sunlight.
The little seagull is enjoying it all too. I wonder if that's a bowl of food someone has put out for it ?
I wish you a very happy Christmas and the best for the coming New Year, hoping that this dreadful cold weather won't last for too long.
Kindest regards.
Marie-Louise.
