Photographer's Note
Five o'clock at the end of a cool but very sunny day. The sun is low, the sea is calm, flowers are fading, summer is over.
This was unintentionally shot with just 640 x 480 pixels. No adjustments were needed except for a small rotation to make the horizon horizontal. But tiny bumps above the skyline (see WS) made it unsuitable for Trek Earth.
I used the clone stamp tool, with 300% magnification, to darken the white fringe over the sea, the Battery, and the wall.
Added later:
The WS shows a significant difference in the small boats and the rocks behind them. I have checked the two versions in my computer and both are the same as the WS!

This is lovely, Winfred. Beautiful clear color, nicely composed and I love those low hanging clouds. It does have a quiet, melancholy feel to it... Autumn often gives me that feeling. Really pretty shot, though. Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

Hi Winifred,
A very peaceful and pleasant view of this harbour. Beautiful foreground flowers and interesting rock formations on the other side of the water. But I don´t really see the bumps in the WS although I notice that you could have posted the fully allowed size of 800 pixels.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hello Winifred,
These flowers in the foreground are very charming and added a lot of depth. I like the clouds, they help to balance the image and also in depth effect.
Bravo!

Hallo Winifred!
Despite its small size, this picture is charming. The colours are very cheerful, and although summer is over, it could well have been taken in spring, for someone who doesn't know wwhen different flowers bloom...
I am interested in the rock formation in front of the fort. They look like the ones at The Giant's Causeway in Ireland or Staffa near Mull in Scotland!
Thanks for sharing this well-composed view!
Kindest regards.
Marie-Louise.

hello Winifred,
this is a lovely view toward the basalt columns and open sea. Love the summery colours and the foreground interest offered by purpe flowers (perennial geraniums?).

I liked this view with a perfect sharpness and marvelous details like these flowers in the foreground. The clouds created a nice effect too, these simple shapes of the castle ahead created another beautiful vision. nice work

Hello Winifred,
As we head into the cold months, how appealing such a scene from August can be! For an image shot at only 640x480 pixels, this is an exceptionally successful shot. The violet flowers in the foreground add lovely highlight.
Warm regards and have a good weekend,
