Photographer's Note

I had already taken some great sunrise shots looking toward the sun, but as the sun rose slightly higher in the sky, the sea and cliffs behind me were starting to light up and amazing colour, and the clouds were still catching the perfect amount of light to take on an orange hue.

The fisherman in this shot was just heading out to the Bay to endulge in the abundance of fish we have around the islands east coast.

I felt very lucky to live on such a beautiful island while i was taking this shot. The water was warm, the air was even warmer, and there was noone around apart from the fisherman, myself, and the seagulls.

I used a Polarizer to bring out the colours, and to reduce the shutter speed so that i could capture the water pouring off the slipway as the waves broke on it.
