Photographer's Note
I have just moved to Wales and was going to check out the local seaside town Penarth. I think he part I got the most excited about was not intended as a tourist attraction - it was the barrage. I found the lines of the huge machinery so elegant against the clear sky, emphasizing the infinity of the sea. The person I went with thought I was mad.
It was a very sunny and cold day, but I missed the hot days of the summer, when you can barely drag your feet, and decided to take the pictures in such a manner that it would like like a summer's day.
The guy in the picture was very chatty and he came down form his tower/building on stilts and cracked a few jokes for us as well as told us about some other good places to take pictures.

Hello Kristina,
I know the feeling, you are touring a place and your companion(s) keep(s) asking "why did you take that?" Then they ask you to take a photo of them right in front of a statue; as you move around trying to include both them and the statue, they keep moving around to be in the middle of the picture, totally occluding the statue. Been there, done that!
This is a lovely photo. The machinery reminds me of Wall-E.
Cheers,
MT
