The Isle of Skye is referred to in Gaelic poetry as ( The Misty Isle ) An Island of history, romance and stunning landscape. The Cuillin range inspires awe whenever you see them, and never more than when you see them from Elgol.

Another good Adam Burton-ish photo, focusing on the rich FG detail and smoothness of the long exposed water. The highlight that I enjoy here is the mossy rock, and it is well placed just off centre. The menacing sky looks attractive, hovering over those dark hills in the BG. Pleasant sharpness and clarity. I like the ratio of Water, FG and the smaller sky.

Hello Stephen,

Wonderful result of long exposure on sea surface. I like blue/gray tones of sea, sky contrasts with rock and cliffs. Dark silhouettes of mountains are very nice.

To me, one of the best of 2007. Felling gloomly jest by looking at it. I like the subtle graduation of light from bright to dark towards the background

Beautiful shot! The rocks are very attractive in this, so nicely shaped and coloured, and they provide a good contrast with the cool blue of the sea and the sky. Great mist effect from the waves too. Well done and Happy New Year!

A wonderful shot again ! The effect on the water on foreground is great and the dark sky in the background is very impressive. I agree with you about Elgol, the view you can see from there is absolutely fantastic, I don't think I have seen anything so beautiful in my life !

Mysterious, heavy with atmosphere... Vivid green placed in right place, just like everything else here. This photo has depth!
