Photographer's Note

Scotland votes for its independance today, so it is a good day to post an old picture from my only trip in Scotland in summer 2003. This was was token at Saint Abb's Head, not far from the frontier with England in the Scottish Borders region. The head is a promontory born from a lava eruption 400 millions years ago. It hosts a lighthouse that began service in 1862. The head is also a natural reserve managed by the National Trust for Scotland.
