Photographer's Note
A statue of Sir Walter Scott, an author & poet who used to visit here, stands outside the Clovenfords Hotel. Other visitors were William Wordsworth.
Apparently there was a vineyard in the village as well, producing grapes from 1869 to 1959. Not sure if it rivalled France though!
