The Fairy Glen 3, a photo from Highland, Scotland

Today's main photo shows the heart of the Fairy Glen on the Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. There is a pretty pond surrounded by low hills that are grazed by sheep and goats. An old ruin sits beside the pond (in yesterday's WS). There are good tracks for walking.
In the WS is a closer up photo of that flat topped peak and another one showing a pair of Scottish Blackface sheep.

And even the cloudy sky did not disturb you in capturing beautiful scenes there.

A beautiful area for a trek, at least as long as it doesn't rain, which I guess happens often. I hope you were saved from it. The scenery may seem even more attractive, and dramatic, in WS #1, although without the pond.

Hello Ian,

The sky looks typical for Scotland yet the scenery is very well captured, in a neat composition, from the varied green hues to the shimmering water.
I like your w/s even better but I understand why you chose this, as the sky is not blown out.

I visited this area, but our guide didn't let us there for much time, we had few minutes to take photos and go ahead. excellent images with the curios aspect of the area well evident.
