Photographer's Note

Scotland bothered me, up 4am every morning and it was what would be the typical day during my trip, overcast with light rain, flat flat light and not worth getting past the driveway with the bitter westerly winds.
I learnt that I would possibly come away with no shots.

What I have learnt with NZ is that you must take what is on offer - and its older cousin "Scotland" is exactly the same. It can be stormy yet the light popping out can produce unexpected landscapes. This is just after the three sisters in Glencoe. It would have been around 6.30-7am when I taken this. This was a quick decisive, park the car anywhere moment and get the shot. It was just me and my sister looking at the event unfold. This past in 2mins and it turned to an ordinary looking landscape after that. I can appreciate that the composition and harsh highlights are flaws in this shot. But come on this is Glencoe at its worst?!?!
