Photographer's Note

This picture shows Achnahaird and its bay and dunes.
It lays south of Lochinver and when travelling to Achiltibuie you will pass this lovely place.

It has a very nice campsite situated next to the dunes.
As we were there in off-season, there weren't that many campers around.

It's a quite good place to observe the tides.
As the beach drops off quite gently it takes some time for high tide to come in or low tide to get out.

When the sight is clear and the weather nice, you have a beautiful view of Stac Pollaidh (612 m)and Cul Mor (849 m).
