Photographer's Note
This is Culross a medieval village in Fife in Eastern Scotland. A lot of the villages in this part of the world have Dutch influences in their architecture with pan-tiled roofs and stepped gable ends on the houses as a result of trade between Scotland and the Low Countries at the time. Culross itself has a lot of old restored houses (Culross Palace being the most impressive) and winding lanes and the ruins of an abbey. Its one of the more characterful and charming small towns in Scotland and was considered as a filming location for the film Brigadoon until the producers decided nowhere in Scotland looked Scottish enough and filmed it in California instead!
This is Culross's medieval townhouse - where the town council met originally - which is in the main square.
I used a polariser to make the most of the cloud formations and reduce the glare a little. Unfortunately it was quite late in the morning and the light was already a little harsh.

For me the light setting work well. The composition seems to be reflecting a fine eye for framing. Even the blue sky with the clouds contributes to a nice total.
Your comments is valuable ad-ons.

This would have been a better picture in my opinion if you had taken it looking more to the front of the building.
