Photographer's Note

This structure lies on the north edge of Fala Flow, it's 'eyes' gazing down towards Edinburgh and Fife to the left. It is reckoned to be about 500 years old although little is known of it's origins. If anyone does know then please tell! Maybe it's called 'The Luggie' because of it's resemblance to an ear from some angles.
I shot 3 photos of this in late evening. The first was shot in b/w since it was probably built before colour was invented. The surrounding area is rough moorland with very purple heather. I did another with an orange filter but the sky looked better in this one. I attempted to clone out a couple of pylons in the distance.
