Photographer's Note
A view of the lower old town of Edinburgh. I loved the way the clouds were giving the sky a bit of drama and how well it came out in B&W. However, together with the castle I guess this is one of the more common photographic views of Edinburgh. The picture is taken from just outside the National Gallery and I climbed onto the balustrade to try get up a little bit to get a better perspective.

This is actually a 3 image HDR that was converted to B&W in PS. The three pictures were taken handheld, which works well if the light is good.

Of course, the sky's interesting, and the B&W is a good choice, the picture gets very strong.
