Photographer's Note
... aka At Anchor...
After a day of sailing in waters of the British Virgin Islands we "came home" to the Bitter End to find the cruiseship [msy] Wind Spirit riding anchor.
The Wind Spirit is one of a trio of Windstar ships.
The Wind Spirit (1988) and her sister ships Wind Song (1987) and Wind Star (1986) were built as four-masted sail cruise ships [ motor sailing yachts ] accommodating 148 passengers in 74 all-outside, identical 185-square-foot cabins.
Each ship is like a castle on the ocean. Here are the specs. Capacity: 148 Crew: 88 Tonnage: 5,350 Length: 440 feet - Beam: 52 feet - Draft: 14 feet Cruise speed: 10 knots
When not at anchor, the sails are the first thing most notice about Windstar’s ships.
Unfurling in just two minutes, some 21,000-plus square feet of sails reach into the skies
at the push of a button.
Please notice that the tiny dolls in the photo at the stern of the ship, are fully grown men, standing in a motorlaunch that can dock right inside the ship...
In the background we see parts of the Bitter End Yachtclub.

Hello Jay. The ship is definitely not super large but is big enough. I am surprised to see a sailboat that look like the one here. The picture is very nice and shows this interesting marine scene dominated by the boat. Good colors and perspective with some of the forest land on the background. Cheers :-)

Hi Jay. Very good POV showing the staff at work in the stern. I agree this is more of an interesting looking ship that the big one that visited us today. Very good notes. TFS. Murray.

Superb colours and details, Jay -- though I think I would prefer her with more space in front than behind!
