Photographer's Note
A couple of years ago when I bought my SLR, I wondered whether the Tokina wide angle lens I was buying with it was a good idea. I had doubts about how much I would use it. After all, I thought, how often do I need a really wide shot?
Very often, as it turns out. This is just one example of how versatile a good wide-angle lens is, allowing me to get both the detail of the Giant's Causeway and the surrounding landscape. Not the most beautiful of days, granted, but the landscape is hard to beat.

Hi Clark,
You had not a great light, but the low POV is very well chosen, with the steps in the foreground adding a great depth to the photo. Sharpness is excellent.

Hello Clark,
I love this. The foreground works exceptionally well. I like the small pools on top of the eroded rocks.
I like that you were able to find some colors on the hills in the background, it adds a lot of depth to your image!
As you said, it was not the perfect day. The light was flat, but the landscape is fantastic.
12mm? how do you correct for the distortion that was likely created? especially on the horizon (I guess).
see you,
Marc

Hi Clark
The light is not great but there is still some interest in the sky and your point of view is excellent. Very well balanced and great depth and detail and good contrast of colours too. TFS

Excellent photo. I own a Tokina 11-16mm. I am very impressed with Tokina quality. Proper usage of UWA lens can produce very creative image such as this one.

Hello Clark,
While looking at your galery, I appreciated this one for your composition but I also for your note. Couple of years ago, I bought a canon 10-22 in Switzerland without being very sure whether I would use it a lot. It is currently my most used lens.
Great landscape by the way!
