Photographer's Note

This image was taken on a December morning on the seafront at Worthing in West Sussex. When the tide is out it leaves this rippled effect in the sand that provides an array of photographic opportunities.

In this instance I wanted to get a low as I could without getting covered in sand. I therefore handheld the camera just above the sand, autofocused and then slightly raised the camera in order to get depth of field. I tried this many times with varying degrees of success. With the help of photoshop I could correct any sloping horizons.

The structure in the distance is the local Pier and I feel the lines of the sand lead the eye into and up to the Pier.

Let me know what you think.
