Photographer's Note

There was an amazing deep ruby sunset this evening in west London. There was also a very high tide. As darkness descended the river overflowed it's banks and these Canadian Geese took the opportunity to feed on the flooded landscape. Their silhouettes drew me to change from a wide angle to a telephoto lens, however the geese deeply immersed in their feeding wouldn't stand still for a millisecond.

Maybe I should have gone upto digital iso800, to half my shutter speed, although in someways I like the motion effect.

What I do know is these Geese will be there again tomorrow, and the weather forecast isn't that much different from today. They are from a local flock. The tide however, will be a little bit later..

Hope you like it,
