Photographer's Note
This is the original of this famous sculpture I have seen yesterday in the artist's studio. George Frederic Watts OM, RA (1817 – 1904) was widely considered to be the greatest painter of the Victorian era. A portraitist, sculptor, landscape painter and symbolist, Watts's work embodied the most pressing themes and ideas of the time, earning him the title England's Michelangelo.

Hello Nina,
I used to live very close to Watts Gallery, sad to say I never visited, but that's often the way when places are so close to your home. Never mind, I have the benefit of seeing it through your fine composition. I like the close framing and the point of view encompassing the second sculpture in the background. Excellent rendering of the colours and textural detail.
