Photographer's Note
The River Ore meanders past the quaint and beautiful village of Orford. famous for one of the most "modern" castles in Britain (Not my words, but the words of the tour guide - as it has basins and splashing water in the bedrooms).#
This is the River Ore, which provides a safe haven and protection of the North Sea.. often rough and wild..

Let me be first !
Another great addition to the collection of yellow counties !
Moody shot with the greys highlighted by flashes of colour and the obligatory red flash !
Try a lower viewpoint to enhance the foreground and give prominence to a wonderful sky.

Hello Rich,
I like the fg detail here. It gives a sense of depth. The little boats sit on an atrractively still water. Both sky and water are one with only a narrow strip of land to tell us where one begins and the other ends. Nice quality of light and the colour palette.
best regards,
Bev

Hello Rich
Sorry I missed this when you posted it, but like you, I've been away quite a bit lately, sailing and so on. I love the calm of this shot, despite the rather threatening-looking sky. The horizon is centrally placed, which seems to accentuate the peaceful equilibrium, while the old posts in the foreground anchor our gaze in the frame. I tried imagining the photograph without those posts: nowhere near as good!
Regards
Will
