Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

This is one of my favourite photographs from Framlingham Castle for it reveals some details of the upper walkway, the turrets, the Red House and the grass area where, just as in early times, the daily activities occurred.

The turrets may seem ruined but, according to the notes, they never had a back wall, neither did they have permanent floors. They had planks across them at the upper wall level so that if they were ever breached, the planks would be removed and the intruders would become trapped on the walls.

I will add a w/s showing the view from the walls.

Enjoy your Sunday, Bev :-)
