Photographer's Note
This is taken on the beach by covehithe broad, a short distance away from the ruins of St. Andrews church. The high tide the night before has scoured some of the soft sand and left the shelf that you see. This is quite a remote part of the Suffolk coast and at dawn on an autumn morning you have the beach to yourself as the sun rises over the North Sea. Original taken on Velvia and scanned with a Coolscan V.

Hello Mark
At this hour of the day you got here the colours of the Algarve (southern Portugal). Very interesting.

very nice view Mark ,i like the slightly blurred effect of the wind on the dune grass giving the feeling of the fresh breezes coming off the sea.only one little thing i would correct is your horizon is slightly up on the right ,but that could easily fixed.
have a good weekend
best regards

Wicked shot! Just needs a bit of sharpening.. Also, the water is on a tilt, and that could be straightened out a bit.. Love the colors though. Nice post!

I like a lot the contrast betwenn sand and blue sky. Perhaps the sunlight in the sand gives to the photo this good contrast.
