Photographer's Note

This is an early rise to get this lovely scene at the Suffolk and Norfolk Broads.

The ground was crisp with frost and the fog was lingering, and the sunrise was beginning behind all this, wonderful, great feeling watching all this beauty, hope you guys like it as much as myself.

very pretty picture - my congratulations! The pastel colors of early morning are absolutely beautiful and the whole image emanates the peaceful atmosphere. Lovely composition with some mist adding very much to the character of the picture.

I love this delicte picture of pastel colours.We do have some breathtaking skies,Don`t we? The heavy frost on the grass with mist lying around the trees and a pinky sky all add up to a pleasing picture.

The subtle tones are lovely made especially beautiful by the layer of mist and the glimpse of the river. The tree on the left is an important element as adds something to the mid ground.

The frost and the fog will probably stop me to go out so early on a winter day ... but seeing your picture, I realize I am wrong.
That fog hangs pretty close, noticeable at the tree on the left.
A beautiful atmosphere and it looks like the beginning of a very beautiful winter day.

This is beautiful! We haven't had a morning like this at all this year.
The light is subtle but just gives me a memory of 2010 when we experienced this type of weather day after day!

Hi Iain,

An amazing, and yet minimal color pallet which has rendered a mood all of its own. This would have conveyed a compelling atmosphere just as well with the early morning mist, but the infusion of the pink and purple tones has taken it to a new level of intrigue. There even appears to be a touch of blue, which makes it all the more appealing to my senses. :) The frost covered landscape looks chilling of course, but the anticipation of a rising sun with warmer temperatures is perceived nicely with the contrasting sky. Thanks for braving the cold to bring us this early morning moment. Enjoy the week ahead. take care.

We've had virtually no frost at all this year on the south coast, so to see this is something of a revelation. Beautiful light, but the pink glow still doesn't manage to dispel the sense of chill imbuing the image. Good work.

What an atmospheric composition. A painting by mother nature which you have capture well. Love the subdued colours and light all over the frame. The mist hanging in the air is priceless for the compostion.
Seeing your photo I remember a trek I did in the Singalila range years ago. I could hear just the ground frost breaking under my footsteps as I made my way through the heavily fogged jungle path. Good job done and thanks for sharing.

The shadowed blue fg with excellent detail contrasts superbly against he warmer pink and orange hues of the sunrise. Good sharpness and nice repetition of the dark gaunt trees which also add some graphic elements against the lighter sky. Tfs!
