Photographer's Note

I almost missed a great opportunity for an interesting title here. It seems that Sir Walter Scott used the Conisbrough Castle as a location for his 1819 historical novel, Ivanhoe.

It is a photo which would be so suitable for November when people in England are wearing poppies and decorating monuments with them. But I suppose we should remember those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom all year round not only on special occasions.
